Your oral health is the chief concern of our dental care. Soreness, tenderness, and swelling can never be ruled out for a few days after undergoing the Smile 360 procedure. These are very manageable with over-the-counter pain medication.
Though rarely needed for more than a day, prescription pain medication can help remedy the postoperative discomfort. When you compare this to a face-lift or nose job, the discomfort is minimal. Having a long lasting beautiful smile is well worth the possible few days of discomfort.
We are committed to a positive patient experience and communicate well with every patient so they know what to expect at each stage of their future new smile!
Treatment cost is influenced by several factors that we carefully weigh before presenting a treatment plan. Every patient is different and presents different considerations that will influence the fee for this procedure. We need to understand each patient and their needs. The Smile 360 procedure is not a cookie cutter procedure that has one price for all.
Missing teeth, quality of previous dentistry, overall health of the patient, the amount of visits to accomplish the procedure, and many other factors can all influence the price for the Smile 360
Our team is trained and has years of experience in treatment planning and patient care. We will do our best to make the Smile 360 procedure as affordable as possible. We offer low payment plans and we work with everyone who wants to have a new smile to make your dream come true!
The Smile 360 process can include several different procedures. Each treatment plan is unique based on the findings of our comprehensive consultation and dental exam. Patients may undergo some reconstructive treatments, some restorative treatments, and some cosmetic treatments.
Dental insurance may cover a portion of necessary restoration and reconstruction, such as crowns to restore or replace teeth or orthodontic care. The extent of coverage varies based on the plan. Patient out-of-pocket expenses can vary.
After your Smile 360 consultation and examination, our team will be able to put together a detailed list of costs that you can use to explore insurance benefits or financing if necessary. Most dental insurance has yearly maximums which they will pay per year.
In most instances, the treatments used in full-mouth restoration / Smile 360 procedure are done in a comfortable and painless way. We do everything in our power to make sure each patient is extremely comfortable before, during, and after they visit our office.
If you’re apprehensive about dental visits, checkups, or procedures, we encourage sedation or sleep dentistry to help you feel more comfortable. We offer two levels of sedation. We offer oral sedation which is a blue pill that reduces anxiety, speeds up time and makes for a forgetful day. We also have a dental anesthesiologist on hand who can do a twilight sedation that is administered IV.
At our office, we strive to make every procedure as comfortable as possible. Modern anesthesia and techniques make most procedures very easy and comfortable. It is normal for patients to experience some post operative discomfort during recovery. If you’re apprehensive about any treatments, we can easily offer sedation dentistry to help you overcome those fears.
There is no difference. They are the same procedure. In order to be true “artists of the smile,” we look at the entire mouth more than just creating a beautiful long-lasting custom smile. This procedure may also require bite correction, treating gum health, addressing missing teeth or broken teeth.
All factors of overall dental health are addressed. We act like “mouth doctors” and resolve all problems in a comprehensive and efficeint way. No rock is left unturned.
Full-mouth reconstruction combines our expertise in both bite correction and cosmetic dentistry for a healthy and natural smile that is in proportion with the lower third of the face. This makes for a more beautiful face that makes our smile makeovers the best in the world.
Smile makeovers are generally elective procedures, utilizing dental procedures such as the placement of porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, or dental implants to improve the overall smile. Smile makeovers are cosmetic, meant to give the patient a beautiful smile. They only involve the teeth that show in the smile and do not take other issues into account like bite problems which is fine for many patients.
Full-mouth reconstruction, Smile 360, on the other hand, is a comprehensive full mouth makeover that makes every tooth uniform and updated to modern dental materials that can last for decades to come!
We like to perform the Full Mouth Reconstruction / Smile 360 procedure in two major visits spaced out in between two-three weeks. The first major visit is to prepare the teeth so that the dental lab can make the perfect smile, teeth and bite. It usually involves removing old crowns and fillings and making sure no decay exists in any teeth.
You leave with a beautiful temporary restoration that resembles the final look. We call this the “trial smile and bite”. We have you return for a minor visit so that we can perfect and tweak the “trial smile” that you are wearing temporarily. The second major visit involves trying on the new porcelain teeth first and reviewing them in front of a mirror, if you love them, we permanently bond in your new gorgeous smile!
If any changes need to be made, we make those changes prior to permanently bonding them in. We tell patients, this is not Extreme Makeover! You get to see your final smile before it’permanently bonded in, not after!
Full mouth reconstruction/ Smile 360 is a procedure that is comprehensive and patients are able to achieve better smiles, bites, and much more from it. The Smile 360 process is one that Dr. Frey developed with years of clinical training and experience guiding the way.
The full mouth reconstruction procedure looks at all aspects of oral structure, health, and aesthetics because health is not indicated only by what is visible. Dr. Frey performs mostly all of the procedures that are involved in the Smile 360 process. However, if necessary, he collaborates with esteemed specialists to make sure each stage of reconstruction is handled in the best way.
Many times, a periodontist is needed to make the gums healthier or replace missing teeth with dental implants. An endodontist may be needed to perform any root canal procedures. This is all done in the comfort of our office.
Good news! These specialists work in our office and all aspects of patient care are all done under one roof.
Patients who are good candidates for Full Mouth Reconstruction are patients who need a Mouth doctor, a Smile doctor and a Tooth doctor. If you need all 3 doctors this procedure is perfect for you! What we mean by that is if your teeth are worn down, discolored, or just plain ugly and you want to have a beautiful smile that corrects your bite at the same time, then you are a good candidate!
Making sure your jaws are in proper alignment and your TMJ muscles are all calm without causing you head and neck pain is also part of the procedure!
These are some possible issues that lead to full-mouth restoration:
Full-mouth reconstruction or Smile 360 is a procedure that is comprehensive and makes sure every aspect of your dental health is addressed! Are your gums healthy? Is your bite good? Making sure these are addressed prior to undergoing the procedure is necessary for advancement to the actual Smile 360 procedure.
The entire process may take different amounts of time to complete, depending on your situation and what needs to be done to get you healthy. Once you are ready and primed, we like to perform the Smile 360 procedure in two major visits that are spaced two-three weeks apart. Before doing the Full-mouth reconstruction or the Smile 360 procedure please look at the below list as they may include any combination of the following procedures before we start:
We would perform the above procedures prior to starting your Full Mouth Reconstruction. We separate the two by calling them Phase 1 and Phase 2. Phase 1 is getting you ready by resolving any of the above issues that need addressing. Once completed, Phase 2 is actually getting the Smile 360 procedure!
Full mouth reconstruction often occurs, ideally, in two major visits. The first visit is called the “prep” visit when all the teeth are prepared for crowns, veneers, bridges etc. The second major visit is known as the “insertion” visit.
From each of these appointments, patients should expect a short recovery period. Usually swelling, bruising, bleeding and soreness is all to be expected and normal but most of the time rarely occurs. All patients are different and some need 3-5 days to heal up and others need just a day or less.
It’s better for us to overestimate the time needed to feel back to normal than to tell patients a shorter time. We say that it is better to over deliver and under-promise than the other way around. At each stage of the process, Our Perfect White Smile dentists remind patients what to expect and how to care for their mouths at that particular time. Our staff is also always happy to answer questions if they arise.
Full-mouth reconstruction also referred to as a full-mouth restoration and Smile 360, involves a comprehensive approach. It is designed to replace missing teeth, repair damaged teeth, correct improperly aligned jaw joints and bites, reverse gum disease, get the jaw joints working properly without clicks and pops, and most importantly, create the most gorgeous smiles that look relaxed and proportional to your face.
