Invisalign is a series of clear aligners designed to shift teeth into alignment. These teeth aligners are custom-made to fit snugly against the teeth, putting even pressure along the entire arch. Due to the design, Invisalign can be used to create the most precise movement, giving patients the perfect smile.
One of the most common dental issues is malocclusion, more commonly referred to as “bad bite”. Nearly everyone has some type of malocclusion. Many times, the misalignment is so slight that it can be ignored. However, many people must address theirs to avoid issues.
Achieve a Straighter Smile With Invisalign Treatment
For many years, traditional braces were the best course of treatment. However, since its introduction to the market, Invisalign has increased in popularity. This is primarily because treatment is discreet and much more comfortable.
Dr. David Frey is passionate about helping his patients achieve their perfect smile. He has been in the field for about 34 years. Over the years, he has worked with underprivileged children, athletes, celebrities, and more. He is a member of several professional dental organizations, including the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and more.
For many years, traditional metal braces were the most commonly used treatment for malocclusion. This requires that metal brackets be attached to the teeth with an arch wire running through them. The wire is tightened, which puts pressure on the teeth to shift them into place. As teeth shift, you’ll need to return to the office to have them adjusted.
Invisalign is a series of clear aligners custom-made to fit snugly against the teeth to shift them into their appropriate position. The type and severity of your malocclusion will determine how many aligners you will need and how often you will need to switch to a new set. The aligners are removable but should be worn for 20 to 22 hours a day.
When your aligners are ready, you’ll schedule an appointment to pick them up. We will make sure that they fit properly. Then, we will explain what to expect from the treatment and how to properly care for your trays.
On average, each tray is worn for about 2 weeks. You’ll need to wear them for at least 20 to 22 hours a day- the more you wear them, the more efficient treatment will be. You may need to reduce your consumption of sodas, tea, coffee, and wine, as these can stain your aligners.
If your treatment plan is simple, you’ll be able to put your aligners in and go. However, if your treatment plan requires attachments, those will need to be installed at this time. If your treatment plan requires rubber bands, we will help you put them in.
When you have traditional braces, you must visit the office every couple of weeks to have them tightened. While there are no wires to tighten, you will need to check in so that your progress can be monitored. If things are not going as expected, some adjustments may be made to your treatment plan. If you have any questions or concerns that arise, you can bring them up at this time.
In some cases, you may need to have an interproximal reduction. This procedure involves removing some enamel to create space for the teeth to shift. While you may feel heat/vibration from the drill, it is not painful.
● The cost of living where the clinic is located, a rural clinic will usually offer less expensive costs than one in a larger metropolitan area.
● With dental insurance coverage, some providers will cover a portion of Invisalign treatment while others classify it as a cosmetic procedure.
● For any additional procedures required, you need to be cavity-free to begin Invisalign treatment which will be an additional cost on top of the cost of Invisalign.
If you do not have dental insurance or if you need help paying for your treatment, we have a few financing options. Our office staff will be happy to explain those to you.
Start your Invisalign journey by scheduling your consultation today. We look forward to creating your customized plan to get your perfect smile.

One of the primary reasons that orthodontic treatment in general is expensive is because of the additional training the dentist needs. Invisalign is slightly more expensive due to the many benefits it brings.
One of the biggest concerns that patients have is Invisalign cost. However, the average cost is comparable to that of traditional braces. Unfortunately, while many dental insurance providers will cover a portion of treatment, many others still classify this as a cosmetic procedure and will not cover any portion of it.
If you do not have insurance or if your provider does not cover treatment, we offer some financing options as well.
