Porcelain veneers are thin, porcelain shells placed over the front of your natural teeth to alter the tooth angle, shape, size, and color. You could have a perfect smile in just two office visits with porcelain veneers. Porcelain veneers from Dr. Frey can cover a variety of aesthetic issues and give you a beautiful smile. Lumineers are veneers. But compared with traditional porcelain veneers, Lumineers are thinner (approximately 0.3 mm) and highly translucent. This allows them to replicate the natural appearance of enamel. Applying Lumineers doesn’t require removal of the existing tooth enamel before placement. They are simply bonded over natural teeth, or existing crowns and bridges. This makes the procedure painless, fast, and reversible, should the patient opt to make a change later in life. We encourage you to replace those unattractive metal fillings with stronger, safer, and essentially invisible fillings. Porcelain fillings closely mimic the characteristics of a natural tooth, do not contain metal, and allow light to flow through and reflect for a beautiful and natural-looking smile. Learn more about porcelain fillings here.
Dental bonding is a cosmetic solution to various imperfections with our teeth. To cover the imperfections, Dr. Frey uses a composite resin made from a mixture of ceramic and plastic. He bonds this material to the teeth being addressed, hence the name of the procedure. Click to learn more about dental bonding.

To understand what is involved with a root canal, it helps to know what makes up your teeth. A tooth has an outer layer, the enamel, which covers the entire visible portion of the tooth. Beneath the enamel is another hard layer, called the dentin. Inside the dentin is the pulp. The pulp is the interior of the tooth, where you’ll find the blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissue. The pulp extends from the crown of the tooth (the part above the gum-line) down to the tip of the roots. The root canals are aptly named, as the roots run through them.
Whether due to decay, a deep crack, large fillings, or even trauma, the pulp can become infected or inflamed. Now the tooth is in danger. Saving it will require cleaning out the pulp chamber all the way into the roots — a root canal. Learn more about root canal here.
Overbite & Underbite Correction
Historically, both the overbite and the underbite have been considered a challenge in terms of treatment. Many patients believe that a bad bite can only be corrected with jaw surgery or with orthodontic braces, but that is not true. Technology today can allow dentists to find a physiologic correct (harmonized) bite without surgery or braces. For many years, the most common recommendation for correction was orthognathic, or jaw-correcting surgery. Learn more about overbite & underbite correction here.
Sleep Apnea Treatment
Sleep apnea, or obstructive sleep apnea, is a dangerous and often frightening disorder, where the tongue obstructs the back of the throat and prevents air from entering the lungs during sleep. Learn about your sleep apnea treatment options here.
